The five major television networks announced their schedules for the 2009/2010 season, which means that some of our favorite shows will not be returning in order to make room for new programs. The shows that did not get renewed include the following…

ABC: According to Jim, Cupid, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, In the Motherhood, Pushing Daisies, Samantha Who?, The Unusuals.
CBS: Eleventh Hour, Harper’s Island, The Unit, Without a Trace.
The CW: Privileged.
FOX: King of the Hill, Prison Break, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
NBC: Kath & Kim, Kings, Knight Rider, Life, Lipstick Jungle, My Name is Earl.

Three of these shows — My Name is Earl, Prison Break and Samantha Who? — won People’s Choice Awards during their freshman seasons. Voice your choice in today’s featured poll on which one you’ll miss the most. Personally, I was sad to see Pushing Daisies, Harper’s Island, Privileged, Prison Break and Lipstick Jungle get the ax. Christina Applegate wins fave TV lady

Christina Applegate just won Favorite Female Star and once again, much like Reese, she was really quite grateful about the award and acknowledged that it was a less than stellar year for her personally but that she was overwhelmingly grateful to her fans. And you know what? Maybe I’m jaded but you can sometimes spot when they just thank fans because that’s hat they’re told to do but this lady — to me — seems absolutely entirely and wholly genuine. If you live in Hollywood like we do here you know its a bit of a gingerbread house and people are less than truthful. Got nothing but a truthful vibe from this one. Well put, Christina.
