It’s the end of the line for the Chanels: Scream Queens has officially been canceled.

The news was confirmed by FOX co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman during a conference call with reporters on Monday (May 15).

Scream Queens was an anthological series,” Newman said according to The Hollywood Reporter. “It feels as if it was a compete story. We have no plans at this point to go back there and tell more stories so we won’t be seeing Scream Queens this season.”

Helmed by Glee boss Ryan Murphy, the series debuted in 2015 with a star-studded cast including Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Billie Lourd. Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas appeared on season 1 (albeit briefly), while John Stamos and Taylor Lautner were roped into the cast in season 2.

Scream Queens fans aren’t the only viewers whose favorite show won’t be on the lineup next season. In addition to a series of cancellations last week, FOX execs recently revealed that the Prison Break revival won’t be returning (well, for now at least), while 24: Legacy has been put on hold.

Are you upset Scream Queens won’t be returning for season 3?
