It’s been nearly 20 years since Dawson’s Creek first graced our TV screens and fans are still wanting more. So, what does James Van Der Beek think about a reunion? He’s not exactly open to it.

Over the past few years, the teen drama’s stars, including Joshua Jackson — aka Pacey Witter — and Katie Holmes — aka Joey Potter — have opened up about the possibility of a reunion.

While Jackson joked that seeing the cast age would be heartbreaking for the fans, Holmes talked about it being a special moment in time that can’t be recreated.

That being said, it would really all revolve around Van Der Beek since he played the lead role of Dawson Leery. According to a new interview, Van Der Beek is on the same page as his co-stars and is not looking to head back to the Creek anytime soon.

“Some characters live with you for a while and you wonder how they’re doing and what they’d be doing now,” Van Der Beek told The Guardian. “I felt pretty complete putting that one on the shelf and not looking at him again.”

Sadly, this means that we probably won’t ever get a Dawson’s Creek reunion… at least not officially. Thank goodness some of the show’s co-stars like Michelle Williams — who played Jen Lindley — and Busy Philipps — who portrayed Audrey Liddell during the college years— hang out all the time.

Which Dawson’s Creek character do you miss the most?
