Hold on to your broomsticks— it looks like Dove Cameron could be joining the cast of Riverdale in a pretty big way.

Just Jared reports that Cameron could very well be assuming the role of none other than Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Riverdale— at least, if we’re to believe the rumors on social media!

It’s clear that Cameron fans far-and-wide are totally on board with the idea of the Descendants 2 actress assuming the role of one of the most iconic witches in pop culture. In fact, they’ve been championing Cameron for the role ever since it was first suggested.

As for Cameron herself, it looks as though the Hairspray star isn’t ruling out the possibility. The actress took to Twitter on Tuesday (May 2) to retweet an article from Comicbook.com entitled “Who Should Play Sabrina the Teenage Witch?”

“hmmm,” tweeted the actress along with the article.

In addition, the official Archie Comics Twitter account caught wind of Cameron’s tweet and chimed in with a carefully chosen emoji.

We’re not quite sure if this means Cameron is currently in talks to join the cast, but if she is, we’d be all for it.

Similar to Josie and the Pussycats, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is also part of the fabric of the Archie Comics Riverdale is based off of.

We’re sure whoever gets tapped to assume the role of Sabrina will be a perfect fit, but now that Dove Cameron’s name has been thrown into the mix, we’re all for it!

Riverdale airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
