Sad news, Girl Meets World fans, the show has NOT found a new home.

After being dropped from The Disney Channel earlier this year, there was speculation that the Boy Meets World revival could continue on another network or streaming platform. On Wednesday (May 3), however, GMW creator Michael Jacobs confirmed that despite his best efforts, the Disney series would not be continuing.

“I wasn’t able to find a new venue for the show. I’m sorry,” Jacobs wrote about the series which starred Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, and a number of Boy Meets World alums, including Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle. “We brought our best and hope we made you think and feel. Until next time. Thanks.”

While we knew when the season 3 finale aired in January that it might be end of the line for our favorite characters, we were really rooting for the show would get a second life somewhere else.

Here’s hoping that somewhere down the line there is another reunion of both Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World. Until then, we will miss all of the amazing characters!

What do you think about the official Girl Meets World cancelation? Were you hoping it would get picked up somewhere else?
