And you thought Sharknado was wild!
The new clip features a number of harrowing scenes, like Jack being chased by a ghost army and getting caught up in an animal trap — but what really stands out is the skeletal (and, yet, still humungous) shark that leaps out at him from under the ocean. The Pirates shark is reminiscent of the tornado-strewn sharks we saw in Sharknado and the massive sea creatures in Jurassic World — but somehow scarier!
“Shark!” Jack proclaims as the creature seems to descend on his row boat.
While this isn’t the first glimpse we’ve gotten at the ghost shark so far, it certainly a good reminder of what we have to look forward to in the upcoming film.
The preview also offers another look at Jack’s long-time foe, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem).
“I”ll be waiting for you, Jack” Salazar says. Meanwhile, a spooked Jack wonders, “Why would you be waiting for me? Why would he be waiting for me?”
The sneak peek also gives fans a closer look at Will and Elizabeth Turner’s son, Henry (Brenton Thwaites), who — along with astronomer Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) — teams up with Jack for the latest adventure.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales arrives in theaters on May 26, 2017.
