No Pirates of the Caribbean film would be complete without Orlando Bloom, right? Luckily, we finally have a clue of what Bloom will look like in the final Pirates film.
Over the past few months we’ve seen numerous trailers for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales film. Now,the newest trailer reveals that Bloom is back as Will Turner, but he’s not as handsome as he usually is… he has been dead for a while, remember?
In the new clip, we see Will Turner for about a second, but any amount of time with Bloom on screen is alright with us.
The trailer reveals that the dead have taken over the sea, which is obviously bad. The dead pirates are looking for, “a girl, The Pearl, and a Sparrow.”
While most of the teaser is full of images we’ve already seen, like Captain Barbosa talking to Captain Salazar and Jack Sparrow being charming, this one also shows Will Turner.
From what we can tell Turner is talking with his (adult!) son Henry. We can only hope he’s giving him advice on how to survive the undead pirate attack. Turner has barnacles on his face, which is not exactly what we remember him looking like in the other films. Although, he was MIA for the last film.
As fans might recall, Turner was cursed to sail the seas for eternity as the Flying Dutchman after getting his heart cutout in the third Pirates installment, At World’s End, so his look isn’t a total surprise. This glimpse of Turner reaching for his son’s face, in a sweet father-son moment, could mean that he is getting his chance at coming to land once every 10 years (as the curse says) in this film.
“Dead men tell no tales,” Captain Salazar says looking at Henry at the end of the clip, giving us chills as we imagine what’s to come. At least Henry will have his father this time around, and not just Jack Sparrow’s help!
