Though she’s only 24-years-old, Selena Gomez has already built a pretty impressive Hollywood resume.

Gomez started out in TV with the Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, before moving on to music, and now also movies. Even though she is now a solo artist, when she did begin her music career she had a band. Remember, Selena Gomez and The Scene? We do!

In 2011, Gomez performed at the People’s Choice Awards with The Scene and as soon as they finished their song, they were awarded Favorite Breakout Artist.

“Oh my gosh. Oh, wow. Oh my gosh, are you sure?” Gomez said on stage, totally shocked at the win.

With her band right behind her, the young singer caught her breath and thanked everyone for their love and support.

“Thank you so much I can’t even begin to say how grateful I am for everything that I get to do and I know it’s because of all of you that voted,” she said.

Gomez then went onto say how much she loves to sing and perform, and now we want her to release new music ASAP.

“It really means a lot to me. If you let me, I’d do this forever. Thank you so much, we love you guys,” she concluded.

Who knew “I’d do this forever” would turn into a successful solo music and movie career?
