DNCE has been a major success almost immediately out of the gate, but now they have an entire record done, which makes them even better.
In honor of the band’s first full record and tour, Joe Jonas sat down with Gotham magazine to talk about his new music and the band’s future.
While performing live and going on tour has been awesome and “kind of insane,” it’s the new, fresh music that Jonas can’t stop gushing about.
When asked what it’s like to have an entire album of songs to share with the group’s fans, Jonas couldn’t have been more excited in his response.
“It’s awesome,” Jonas told Gotham. “That was one of the things we were so pumped about — getting on stage and performing, doing these new songs — because we’ve been playing off of an EP [the four-track Swaay] for so long and doing like 10 cover songs.
DNCE was released in November 2016 and has definitely fueled the band’s tour with more fire and fun.
“We didn’t have a lot of material to play. We’d have to fill up a 60 to 70 minute show, but now we actually have the material to do that,” Jonas added.
Fans are also super grateful for the complete album, because that means more songs to sing along to while watching the dance-rock band perform!
Plus, now you don’t have to just hear cover songs from the cool musicians, although their covers were pretty great.
