Ugly Betty fans are all too familiar with Michael Urie. After all, the actor spent years playing Wilhelmina Slater’s fierce assistant, Marc St. James.

As much as we loved watching Urie steal the scene in Ugly Betty, it’s been great to see the actor spread his wings since the show came to an end after four seasons in 2010.

Since the show ended, Urie has appeared in a slew of different series including Modern Family, The Good Wife, and TV Land’s comedy series, Younger.

It’s clear that Urie is a force to be reckoned with, but nothing proves that more than his time spent performing in the off-Broadway, hit one man show, Buyer & Cellar.

In the play, Urie assumes the role of multiple characters— including Barbara Streisand herself— as he weaves a tale for audiences as an unemployed Los Angeles actor who goes to work in Streisand’s Malibu basement.

As fans of Streisand know, the iconic star famously had a mall built in her basement where she likes to display all of her collections, so one can only imagine how hilarious Urie’s one-man show must have been!

The good news is, if you missed out on Buyer & Cellar you can still listen in as Urie talks about taking on the role that won him various awards by listening in to his interview with the Little Known Facts Podcast with Ilana Levine.
