Game of Thrones fans, this is some good news, depending on how you feel about Sansa Stark.
On Sunday, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa on the HBO series walked the 2017 British Academy Film Awards (or BAFTA) red carpet and spilled a possible spoiler about the series.
While we are all still waiting for season 7 to premiere, and the cast rarely gives anything away, Turner hinted that the future for her fierce character isn’t bleak… at least not yet.
“We’re about to start shooting the next X-Men, we’ve just finished shooting Season 7 of [Game of] Thrones, and I’ve got a couple of movies to do before X-Men starts,” Turner told Hey U Guys at the BAFTA Awards.
“And then we go onto Season 8,” she added.
Did you hear that? “Then we go onto Season 8!”
This is HUGE news. While it doesn’t tell us what will happen to the eldest Stark sister during the show’s seventh season, it does imply that she will make it to the final one.
Sure, we’d love to know what exactly goes down on Season 7 for Sansa, Jon Snow, Aria Stark and more, but this will do for now.
At least we know that not only will we be seeing a lot more from the 20-year-old actress on the big screen with another X-Men installment and other movies, but she’ll be returning for GOT Season 8.
A lot is bound to happen before we get to the show’s final season, but knowing that Sansa lives, or at least is a part of some flashback situation (it could happen), we’re very excited.
Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres sometime during summer 2017.
