We still can’t get over the fact that The Vampire Diaries has officially wrapped. Yes, our beloved vampire series is done filming (as of last week), and it’s so sad.
Thankfully, there are still new episodes of The CW series to keep up oblivious to the fact that season 8 is in fact the end for our favorite Mystic Falls characters.
Throughout the final week of filming, the cast has been posting their farewells and giving us all the feels.
Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore on the show, got in on the final photo trend from set on Wednesday.
In order to say goodbye to the epic series, he posted a picture with his TV brother and real-life friend, Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore.
“That’s officially a wrap. One last pic of the brothers in front of the Camaro,” Wesley caption his bro pic.
We all know how much Damon loved that Camaro, so it seems fitting that these two pose in front of it.
Wesley then went on to thank TVD fans for all their love and support, and we’re tearing up a little bit.
“To the fans, thank you for being a part of this journey in our lives. We couldn’t have done it without you,” he wrote.
This is too sad. Wesley and Somerhalder together as they bid farewell to Mystic Falls is the perfect ending, but it is also so hard to handle. Don’t you think?
The Vampire Diaries airs on Fridays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
