Matt Damon never backs down, especially when it comes to his gag with Jimmy Kimmel. His most recent appearance, however, is hands down his best.
On Monday (Feb. 6), Damon crashed Jimmy Kimmel Live dressed as the one and only New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and it was awesome.
Over the years, Kimmel has joked about never having time to actually interview Damon. As a result, the actor has come up with various schemes to try and appear on the show — with his latest being to dress like Super Bowl champ Tom Brady. The talk show host played along and pretended to be upset when his interview was ruined, and we can’t stop laughing.
“I just haven’t had time to change since the Super Bowl on Sunday,” Damon as Brady said. “I kind of don’t want to ever take it off… It’s my lucky helmet.”
The Great Wall actor then was forcibly removed from the stage but not before yelling, “I did it! Yes. If I’m not the show right now, where am I? I’m on the show.”
It took him a while, but Damon finally made it on the show… even if it was as the Patriots QB.
After his Kimmel appearance, Damon went straight into a football game style interview with Rich Eisen, in a post-game type setting to add to the mayhem.
“I’ve worked so hard for this and, you know, all the years of — I think it’s 14 years of being in the dressing room and thinking, ‘I’m gonna get out,’ and we never gave up,” he joked.
He concluded by giving a shout out to God for making it all happen.
“First of all, I want to thank God because he hates Jimmy so much that he just made all of this happen,” he concluded.
This is SO funny. We love this fake feud, it’s just too much.
