Game of Thrones fans still have a bit of a wait before the highly anticipated drama returns to HBO, but it sounds like the end of the season is set to leave viewers wanting more.
In a brand new interview with Time Out London actress Maisie Williams, who’s set to reprise her role as Arya Stark when the show returns, teased that fans should expect season 7 to end on “a huge cliffhanger.”
As for the rest of season 7, of course, Williams is keeping incredibly tightlipped on the finer details of what’s to come on Game of Thrones. That being said, the actress did shed some light as to what we can expect from season 7 overall.
According to UPROXX, Williams likened the past seasons as a buildup to where we are now.
“We’ve come to a climax and it’s rolling down to the end. I really felt like at the end of last season everything was set up for how it was going to end,” explained Williams. “Every character came to a little junction in their lives. Now we’re all going to crash down together to however this show ends.”
The idea of everything crashing down doesn’t sound like it’ll bode well for all of our favorite characters, but even so, now that the pieces are set, we’ll be incredibly excited to see where they fall as Game of Thrones picks back up again later this year.
Game of Thrones season 7 is expected to premiere in the summer of 2017 on HBO.
