The Oscars announced the nominees for the 89th annual Academy Awards early Tuesday (Jan. 24) morning and as expected, La La Land came out on top.

The sweeping musical, which stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, scored a record-tying 14 nominations, including nods in major categories such as Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song.

With its 14 nods, La La Land ties with films All About Eve and Titanic as one of the most nominated movies in Oscars history.

Other favorites among the nominations this year also included the Amy Adams lead sci-fi film Arrival, and director Barry Jenkin’s drama Moonlight. Both films scored eight nominations a piece, including nods in the coveted Best Picture category.
