These Are The Top 5 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017, According To Rotten Tomatoes

Rotten Tomatoes just released their list of most anticipated movies of 2017 and unsurprisingly, big blockbuster sequels top the list!

Reported by EW, the results, which were determined by a survey, reveal that those polled are most excited for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Given the colossal success of The Force Awakens, we’re not surprised to hear that movie fans are very much looking forward to what adventures Finn, Poe, Rey, and the rest of the gang will have this time around as they continue their quest to fight off the wrath of Kylo Ren.

Coming in second place in Rotten Tomatoes’ Most Anticipated Films of 2017 list is none other than Blade Runner 2049. The upcoming sequel to the 1982 classic is set to hit theaters on Oct. 6, and stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, and Jared Leto.

Finally, this year’s third most anticipated movie of the year is directer Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant. The latest chapter of the Alien saga follows the crew of the colony ship, Covenant, as they make their way to a remote planet. Things get a bit intense, however, when their faced with a threat that won’t be easy to escape.
