Niall Horan is definitely feeling the fan love!
Unfortunately, Horan was unable to attend the awards ceremony in person last Wednesday (Jan. 18), but that didn’t stop the “This Town” singer from taking to Twitter to thank the fans for their support.
“Well that’s something to wake up to,” tweeted Horan late on Wednesday night. “Thank you so much for voting for me, I really appreciate it…amazing.”
After months of promoting his new hit single, Horan updated his followers by letting them know he’d be taking a well deserved break over the holiday season, promising to return to the world of social media sometime in February of 2017.
According to a handwritten note the actor posted on Twitter at the beginning of December, Horan plans to hit the ground running in the new year and get back to work on his highly anticipated first solo album.
“I want to take my time with no pressure and make sure I get it right,” said Horan of his first album. “I’m quite the self critic, which I like about myself, so I’ll let you know when I’m done.”
Despite the fact that we’ve still got no clue as to when we can expect the album to drop, it’s great to know Horan is taking the process of creating the perfect first solo record so seriously.
We’ll be incredibly excited to get our hands on it whenever Horan decides it’s perfect enough to release to all of his fans. Until then, we’re sending him a huge congratulations for being voted this year’s Favorite Breakout Artist at People’s Choice Awards 2017!
