Don’t worry guys, Deadpool 2 is definitely still in the works!

On Sunday, Ryan Reynolds chatted with MTV on the Golden Globes red carpet about the Deadpool sequel and confirmed that everything is continuing as planned — despite some behind-the-scenes chagnes.

“We’re still working on it,” Reynolds told MTV‘s Josh Horowitz about Deadpool 2’s production schedule.

Fans were a little worried that Deadpool 2 would be on a long pause after Tim Miller left the project as the director. David Leitch has now been tapped to direct.

“Everything feels great,” the 40-year-old actor explained about the new film and new leader at the helm. “Everybody is seamlessly locked into the situation. It’s been really amazing.”

MTV also asked the father of two about the search for Deadpool 2’s anti-hero, Cable.

“We’re not going to start until we’re ready,” Reynolds explained about the casting process.

We’re happy to see the sequel is on track and headed in a forward direction!

Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters on March 2, 2018.
