HBO’s Westworld took us for a whirlwind ride during its inaugural season and it’s safe to say we’re ready and eagerly waiting for more of our favorite new sci-fi series.

Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have to wait until at least 2018 to get some of the answers that season 1 left us with. While it might be too early to be getting any firm details as to what season 2 will entail, there are still plenty of clues floating around that can help paint a better picture with regards to what we can expect.

Check out some of the best scoops we uncovered about season 2 of Westworld below!

1. There’s no set release date for season 2.
Fans will have to wait quite some time to get more of Westworld. While the series has been greenlit for a second season, HBO president Casey Bloys revealed in an interview with Vulture that they’re giving the series the ample time they need to make sure they’re abel to bring the best story to life.

“I think it’ll probably [return] in 2018,” said Bloys. “I’d like to get it on as soon as possible, but for a show of this scope, the most important thing is getting the best version of the show on the air. If it takes some time, we’ll take some time.”

2. There’s a possibility for the series to explore other worlds.
Sweetwater isn’t the only immersive destination experience the Delos Company has created and there’s a possibility we might see a few more of those destinations in the future!

In an interview with Inverse, Westworld production designer Zack Grobler said there’s a chance that we could see some of our favorite characters travel to different worlds.

“For the first season, we only explore the West World,” Grobler said. “There’s talk about in the future seasons, if there’s more, that there will be a different world, but we’re not sure what it will be yet.”

3. We’ll learn more about what makes the hosts tick.
The first season of Westworld did a great job of introducing us to the hosts and just how lifelike they are, but next season we’ll get to learn more about who they are, how they’re made, and even what their strengths and weaknesses are!

“Their construction and their power source is something that we’re really going to get into during season 2,” showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy told EW. “There are advantages and disadvantages to being a host…we’ll be exploring more of the nuts and bolts of what they are— as the hosts themselves are trying to understand.”

4. Elsie’s fate is still up in the air.
While not much is known about Westworld season 2 yet, fans got their first clue as to what season 2 would entail shortly after the big season 1 finale. The final episode lead us all to believe that Elsie might have met her demise, but now we’re not so sure— especially given the latest update to the official Westworld website, which claims that Elsie is in fact in Behavior Tech. We’ll definitely be interested to see what it all means come season 2!

5. The showrunners already have the next five seasons planned out.
If things keep going well for Westworld it sounds as though we’ll have the series around for quite some time. In fact, in an interview with EW, actor James Marsden revealed that everyone knew from the get-go that the plan was always to map the next few years of the show out while they were filming season one.

“We wanted everything in line so that when the very last episode airs and we have our show finale, five or seven years down the line, we knew how it was going to end the first season,” explained Marsden. “That’s the way Jonah and [executive producer J.J. Abrams operate.”

Westworld is nominated for Favorite Premium Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Series at People’s Choice Awards 2017, alongside Marvel’s Luke Cage, Game of Thrones, Outlander, and Stranger Things. Tune in to the show on Wednesday, Jan. 18 on CBS to see all the winners!
