The pair, who played siblings Alex and Justin Russo on the hit Disney Channel series, got together this weekend for a hangout session where the topic of discussion eventually got around to whether or not Wizards of Waverly Place should get the reunion treatment.
Luckily, both actors seem to be down with the idea and they even went through the trouble of documenting exactly where they think all the characters are these days via Gomez’s Instagram story.
“I think we should do a reunion where Justin is still running the college,” says Henrie in the video.
“Justin is still running the college, but Alex is for sure single,” adds Gomez of her own character.
In Henrie’s head-cannon, he envisions his character having tons of children already, but Alex, unfortunately, is a little bit lost.
“She’s still trying to find herself— she’s now like 25 and she’s still trying to figure things out,” continues Henrie much to Gomez’s dismay. It’s clear she thinks Alex isn’t as lost as her on-screen brother seems to think she’d be!
The pair may have had quite a few things to say with regards to their own characters, but that doesn’t mean they forgot about younger brother Max (Jake T. Austin)! According to Henrie, Max is either literally lost, or also married. Unfortunately, the family subway station has completely gone out of business.
“I don’t know, should we do the reunion, guys? Should we just bring Wizards of Waverly Place back?” asks Gomez near the end of their video series.
We’re sure we’re not the only ones screaming “YES!” at our screens!
Here’s hoping someone at the Disney Channel is listening because we’d definitely love to see Gomez and Henrie take the reigns on a Wizards of Waverly Place reunion!
