The characters on Game of Thrones may have spent a good majority of their time doing their own things over the past few seasons, but all that is about to change come season 7.
In a brand-new interview with Radio Times, Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont on the series, revealed that fans can expect quite a bit of overalap in characters this coming season.
“This season you feel that the drama is moving toward its end game, more characters are overlapping so we are seeing a lot more of each other, than perhaps in the past,” explained Glen. “[We’re] in the same scenes and we are going to the same places.”
Last season brought with quite a few reunions, but one that was especially exciting to many fans was that of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). After seasons apart, the pair finally found each other and joined forces to bring down the sinister Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and take back Winterfell once and for all.
Given the way things are heating up with regards to the ultimate showdown for the Iron Throne, it’s not surprising to hear that we’ll be seeing some of our favorite characters finally cross paths.
We’re especially excited to see how things go with Danerys (Emilia Clarke), who’s currently en route to take back the throne she deems rightfully hers. It’ll be interesting to see which of Westeros’ characters she comes across first, but we’re especially hoping she’ll eventually cross paths with Jon— especially given what we know of his ancestry now!
Either way, it sounds like we’re in store for more than a few surprises when Game of Thrones picks back up again!
