Stop trying to make fetch happen, it’s never going to happen! Despite the fact that Gretchen Wieners never really made “fetch” happen in Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan isn’t going to give up on a Mean Girls 2 happening and we are so grateful.

On Thursday (December 29) Lohan, who played the lead Cady Heron in the 2004 film, did a Facebook Live interview conducted by CNN and talked all about a Mean Girls sequel.

“I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2,” Lohan explained during the CNN interview as reported by MTV. “I know Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy, but I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”

In addition to telling fans that she will never let go of her dream to reprise her role as Queen B, Lohan noted she already has some casting ideas in mind for the sequel.

The top two include her Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis and talk show host, Jimmy Fallon.

“I’ve already written a treatment for it, so I just need a response,” she explained.

Well, if she’s already written a treatment, what are we waiting for?

We are totally into another Mean Girls movie, especially if Tina Fey writes it and most of the cast comes back. Wouldn’t it be great to see what happened to the Plastics after there was so-called peace in “girl world?”

We wonder if Gretchen’s father, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, gave his company to her? That would be grool — as would another Mean Girls movie!
