With Spider-Man: Homecoming set to hit theaters in 2017, many Marvel fans are wondering if this might be the franchise that sees the Marvel TV Universe blending with the cinematic universe.

But if you were hoping to see actor Vincent D’Onorfrio’s rendition of Kingpin go up against Tom Holland’s web-slinger, you shouldn’t hold your breath.

The actor recently took to Twitter where he answered a fan question about whether or not we might see him show up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point.

“That I doubt. Seems to be so many characters in the film uni to service,” wrote D’Onofrio with regards to whether we’d ever see his rendition of the crime lord tango with Spider-Man. “The films are already jam packed.”

Though we may not get to see D’Onofrio reprise his role as Wilson Fisk on the big screen, there’s a big chance we’ll see him return via one of Netflix’ various Marvel series.

According to ComicBookMovie.com D’Onofrio already knows when we’ll get to see Kingpin again, but for now, the actor is keeping tight lipped on the matter. While we’d love to know whether we can expect to see the crime lord in Marvel series, there is something to be said about the element of surprise.

And either way, we’ll definitely be excited the next time we see him on our screens!
