It’s been another year for the books for Beyoncé!
Between her incredible new album and her sold out Formation World Tour, the singer effectively proved once again that she’s more than worthy of being called a Queen.
When the singer wasn’t slaying us with her impeccable fashion choices, she was willing us all to get in formation with show-stopping performances of some of the best tracks off her latest album, Lemonade.
To celebrate Queen Bey’s truly incredible year, we’ve compiled a list of four standout moments that prove Beyonce is definitely having the best year ever. Check them out below:
1. Her Super Bowl performance blew everyone away.
Beyonce may not have been the headliner at the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show, but she definitely stole the show!
The singer prepped fans for what was to come by dropping both a single and a music video for “Formation” just one day before she took the stage for halftime. There, she wowed us all with an incredible live performance of “Formation,” complete with an army of backup dancers behind her.
It’s definitely one Super Bowl performance we’ll never forget!
2. She announced the Formation World Tour.
Only Queen Bey could pull off a huge announcement like this! Shortly after her Super Bowl performance went off without a hitch, Beyonce let fans in on the fact that she’d be hitting the road on her first world tour since 2013’s Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
The “Formation” singer made the announcement to the world in the form of a Super Bowl commercial that ran directly after halftime and effectively sent fans into a frenzy with the good news.
3. The CFDA honored her as this year’s Fashion Icon of the Year.
When it comes to fashion, there’s no denying that Beyonce has a knack for style. Her penchant for fashion didn’t got unnoticed at this year’s annual CFDA Fashion Awards where the Council of Fashion Designers of America honored the “Formation” singer with this year’s Icon of the Year Award.
Beyonce didn’t disappoint when she showed up wearing a custom Givenchy suit and a wide brimmed hat. Additionally, the singer gave a beautiful speech about how fashion is ingrained into her family history that’s sure to tug at your heart.
4. She made Grammy history with her various nominations.
Beyonce leads the pack for the 2017 Grammy Awards with a whopping nine nominations to her name. As impressive as that number is, however, it’s nowhere near as impressive what they mean. For one, with a total of 62 nods over the course of her career, Beyonce has now become the most nominated woman in Grammy history. Additionally, this year, Beyonce became the first artist to earn nominations in the pop, rock, R&B, and rap categories in the same year.
We’ll definitely be tuning in next year to see how many of the awards she takes home!
Beyoncé is nominated for Favorite Movie at People’s Choice Awards 2017 alongside Adele, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, and Rihanna. Tune in to the show on Wednesday, Jan. 18 on CBS to find out which movie wins!
