IMDb has just revealed their list of the top 10 movies of 2016 and the top film may surprise you!
According to EW, the online resource’s list is put together by analyzing which movies were able to rake in over 250 million page views. Interestingly, it wasn’t superheroes, but a slew of villains who took the top spot this year.
Coming in at number one was none other than Suicide Squad. The highly anticipated film, which starred a slew of big name actors including Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and Jared Leto performed big at the box office as well, grossing $745 million worldwide. We’re sure those big numbers at the box office ultimately helped secure the comic adaptation the top spot on IMDb’s list.
That being said, Suicide Squad wasn’t the only comic book adaptation that mad the cut! In fact, Captain America: Civil War clocked in at number two on IMDb’s year end list, while Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice came in at number three.
