Niall Horan may be incredibly busy these days, but he’s still got time to update his fans on everything from his plans of the holidays to how his upcoming solo album is progressing.
The One Direction member recently sent out a newsletter to fans, which he wrote in his own handwriting, where he talked about all the hard work he’s been putting into the new album. Despite keeping busy with dozens of television appearances, it seems like the album is coming along quite well!
Horan also revealed he’s been working with some pretty top notch producers, including Jacquire King, whose credits include Kings of Leon and James Bay, and Don Was, who’s worked with the likes of John Mayer and Bob Dylan.
“For me to work with this caliber of producers is pretty amazing really, and I’m humbled that they wanna work with me,” wrote the singer.
So how far along is Horan on the record? According to the “This Town” singer, he’s “8 songs deep and ready for more.” That being said, it’s clear Horan’s much more interested in taking his time to make sure everything is as perfect as possible before he releases the highly anticipated solo album.
“I want to take my time with no pressure and make sure I get it right,” said Horan. “I’m quite the self critic, which I like about myself. So I’ll let you know when I’m done.”
Up next, Horan plans to spend some much deserved time at home with family and friends for the holidays before hopping back into the studio to finish up his album.
“I want to come up with more song ideas and get back in the writing zone,” explained Horan, who also let fans in on the fact that he’ll most likely be MIA until February.
