Tom Cruise defies laws of nature and survives insane crashes in the first Mummy trailer.

Debuting during Sunday Night Football on NBC, the trailer is packed with heart-racing sequences — and we’re absolutely loving it.

Slated to hit theaters next year, the film is a reboot of the Mummy franchise, which includes the original 1932 film and the more memorable 1999 film, starring Brendan Fraser. This movie, however, is all about Cruise and to say it’s action-packed would be an understatement.

The trailer begins with Cruise’s character, Nick Morton, sitting on a military plane as he recalls the recovery of an ancient mummy tomb that the team has recovered from the desert. As he sits there you get a feeling in the pit of your stomach that this isn’t going to end well.

Just then the plane flies into a storm, but it looks more like bats, the engines light on fire, and the plane begins to fall. Nick manages to save Jenny Halsey (played by Annabelle Wallis) before he goes down with the plane.

Next we see a slew of bodies on slabs in the morgue and then, Nick pops up out of the bag and reveals he’s alive! Seriously, based on this teaser, nothing can kill Nick, not even Ahmanet, the princess who is in the crypt they recovered.

Ahmanet (played by Sofia Boutella) has risen from her crypt and is taking over the modern world. There are glimpses of death, destruction, and major fights scenes involving Nick and his partner, Jenny.

Can the two of them stop the mummy? Or will everyone peril because of her return? We will have to wait until summer to find out!

The Mummy hits theaters on June 9, 2017.
