There has been a lot of news surrounding the upcoming Jurassic World sequel, but not a lot has surfaced regarding who will be returning from the first movie, until now.

We know that Chris Pratt — aka the lead character, Owen — and Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire, are both set to return to the land of dinosaurs when the sequel hits, but they are pretty much the only two guarantees.

Luckily, we have now learned that there is a possibility of BD Wong coming back for his third Jurassic film, the first being the original Jurassic Park and the second being Jurassic World.

Cinema Blend recently spoke with Jurassic World’s executive producer, Frank Marshall, who hinted that Wu’s escape in the first Jurassic World leaves a very likely opening for his return.

“When they take off in the helicopters, you know they’re probably going to come back,” Marshall told Cinema Blend.

Wong reprised his original role as Dr. Henry Wu in the most recent film, nailing it as the force behind the hybrid dinosaurs that Jurassic World is built around. In the 2015 film, Wu was able to escape the island by helicopter, which gave us hope for his return in the sequel, and Marshall clearly thought the same thing.

While it’s not a hard yes, we’ll take it! Now all we need is an official confirmation and we can start the real celebrations.

Jurassic World 2 is set to hit theaters on June 22, 2018.
