Walking Dead fans better get used to seeing Negan around— it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of the bat-wielding overlord as the series progresses.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who portrays the season 7 Big Bad, recently stopped in for a chat with Howard Stern where he teased that fans could expect to see Negan sticking around throughout both this season and next season.
“I know I will be on board for season eight,” Morgan told Stern according to Vulture.
Negan may be running the show, but we’ve seen more of his cronies than of the man himself these past two episodes. Even so, it sounds like that’s all about to change. Morgan also teased that we can expect his character to play an even bigger role on The Walking Dead in the coming weeks.
“The next two, I’m really big in,” teased the actor, who also cautioned fans that things are about to get a bit intense.
It sounds like Negan’s going to come back swinging, and if what happened during this season’s intense opener is anything to go by, we may all start wanting to brace ourselves for impact.
There’s no telling what Negan may do next, but we’ll be waiting with baited breath to see how Rick and the rest of our favorite characters handle his wrath!
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
