Niall Horan may be riding high on the success of his debut solo single, but that doesn’t mean One Direction fans should lose out hope over the boy band reuniting somewhere down the line.
In fact, when Horan swung by On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the “This Town” singer made it a point to set the record straight about 1D’s hiatus, saying that just because the band is taking a break, doesn’t mean they’ll never get back together and make music again.
“We’re all just kind of doing our own bits and pieces now, we’re all enjoying it, we’re all in touch, but I think people have this public perception that we all hate each other and One Direction is never going to happen ever again,” said Horan. “[But] it definitely will. We’re just enjoying our time.”
Additionally, the Irish singer revealed that he imagines that when the time does come to reunite, the first order of business will most likely be to hit the road again as a foursome.
“We also have an album that we never toured,” said Horan in reference to Four. “We brought an album out at the end of last year, so I guess that would be the first thing, to tour that.”
Of course, there’s no set date for the One Direction reunion, but the good news is, while we all wait for the band to reunite, there’s Horan’s upcoming solo album to look forward to.
According to Horan, the plan is to release his debut album out just before summer.
We’re definitely looking forward to getting our hands on Horan’s forthcoming album— if the rest of the songs are just as good as “This Town,” we imagine the Irish singer will have quite the hit on his hands!
