Game of Thrones fans still have a long way to go before season 7 starts up, but thankfully, HBO has decided to offer a tiny glimpse at what’s to come when the hit fantasy series returns in the summer of 2017.
Viewers who happened to tune into Sunday night’s episode of Westworld might have caught a flash of new Game of Thrones material featuring three of the Stark kids during the network’s “Coming in 2017” preview. Now, thanks to Watchers on the Wall, we’re finally able to get a closer look at Sansa, Arya, and Jon Snow in action. (See the images here.)
While the stills don’t give us too much to go off of, Sansa, Arya and Jon’s facial expressions have got us thinking that there’s going to be a lot at stake when Game of Thrones returns.
First up, we’re given a great close-up shot of Sansa (Sophie Turner). We’re not sure what she’s looking at, but it looks like she’s a bit surprised to see whatever, or whoever it could be.
Up next, there’s a great shot of Arya (Maisie Williams) on horseback staring off into the distance. The last we saw of Arya, she had successfully defeated the Waif, found her way back to herself, and was determined to get back home. Here’s hoping that this still finds her well on her way to Winterfell to reunite with the rest of her siblings.
Finally, we get a close-up shot of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who’s wearing a look of worry. It seems as though he’s having a chat with someone who’s just out of shot— perhaps he’s mulling things over with Sansa? Either way, we’ll be interested to see what’s causing him to worry this time around.
