Alexis Bledel is our hero! First she gets on board for the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life four-part series and nails it as her iconic character, Rory Gilmore, and now she’s ready to reprise another amazing role.
The 35-year-old actress opened up to Jimmy Fallon during Monday night’s episode of The Tonight Show about another Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie, saying she is definitely ready to film the next one.
“We would all love to do it,” Bledel told Fallon. “I think it would be so much fun. We talk about it. I think we should absolutely do it.”
Added Bledel, “We’re working on it, so we’ll see if it happens.”
Bledel as Lena teaming back up with her on and off-screen besties, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera, would be amazing. Here’s hoping the third movie gets put into motion sooner rather than later.
Fallon, who is a Sisterhood fan like all of us, added in his ideas for the third movie proposing an all-male version, which would star him (obviously), Kevin Hart, Paul Rudd and Mark-Paul Gosselaar — and yes we would totally watch it.
He also had a more normal idea, which revolved around maybe the girls’ daughters having the pants.
“I seriously think you come out with a third one, you guys are all talking to each other, you’re older now, and you go, ‘Wait, who has the pants?'” Fallon said to Bledel. “Maybe someone’s kid is wearing the pants, maybe someone’s mom is wearing the pants. Maybe it’s been put on a scarecrow and turned into a horror movie.” Oh Jimmy, you’re too much.
No matter what the storyline, we are totally ready for another Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie… are you?
