Quantico’s spy games are officially moving to Mondays. And things are getting serious.

The ABC drama will debut on a new night when it returns to wrap up season 2 in January. The announcement of the new time slot was made official by the writers of the series via Twitter just as the winter finale to Quantico’s sophomore season came to an end.

“We will see your faces on Monday night at 10 pm starting January 23,” the writers’ account announced on Nov. 27. “New night, more intense than ever.”

The Priyanka Chopra-starring FBI drama will replace Conviction, the fledgling law drama that was not ordered by the network to extend their season a few weeks ago.

Last time fans saw Alex (Chopra), she was fighting for her life after being tragically betrayed by Ryan (Jake McCoughlin) in a twisted AIC/FBI/terrorist plot. It’s a lot to take in and once the series starts back up again, Ryan will have a lot of explaining to do.

Quantico returns on Monday, Jan. 23 at 10 pm EST on ABC, battling for ratings against CBS’ Scorpion and NBC’s Timeless. Will you follow Alex and the crew to their new Monday time slot?
