Attention, all Vampire Diaries fans: the day has finally come to say goodbye to The CW show.
Okay, technically the day isn’t actually here, but the network has just announced when the series finale will air and the tears are already starting to flow.
With season 8 already four episodes in, TVLine reports the series finale of TVD will air on Friday, March 10 at 8/7 c, so mark your calendars. For those of you who don’t want to have to count, it means you have less than four months to spend with your favorite Mystic Falls characters and prepare to say goodbye to the vampire-filled land.
The good news is that the first Friday after TVD finale premieres marks the beginning of season 4 of The Originals, so you can still have your vampire fix, just in a different way.
Since it’s about four months until the end of the end, let’s not focus on the sadness that is bound to happen when you have to bid farewell to the Salvatore brothers, and instead focus on all the drama that is currently taking place on the show.
For example, Tyler Lockwood had to be left behind and Alaric’s nanny Seline was revealed to be even more evil than her sister Sybil. Ah, there is so much going on!
Tune in on Friday for an all-new episode of The Vampire Diaries and maybe start re-watching the show from the beginning, so you can make it last a little bit longer.
