While it’s just starting to get cold outside, Priyanka Chopra already has her sights set on next summer’s heat—and for good reason. The star of NBC’s Quantico is set to star in the Baywatch remake hitting theaters in summer 2017. Priyanka appears in the movie alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron, and while the actress plays their foe in the reboot — off camera, she became friends with the cast.
In honor of the season 2 premiere of Quantico, People’s Choice caught up with Chopra at Paley Fest last week (Oct. 18) where the 34-year-old spilled about bonding with her castmates.
"What I loved about both of them actually is they're both such massive stars but yet so down to Earth, so chill," said Priyanka of her costars. The Bollywood-turned-Hollywood star continued to say that even though they were only together for three months shooting, the whole cast formed a bond. "It's so great that all of us, the girls, we ended up becoming friends on the movie."
Costarring Alexandra Daddario, Charlotte McKinney and Kelly Rohrbach, Baywatch is a remake of the 1989 classic TV series about California lifeguards who save lives and looking impossibly good while doing it. Chopra The comedy, due out in theaters May 2017, will even feature cameos from stars of the original show Pamela Anderson and "the Hoff" himself, David Hasselhoff.
As Priyanka ensures, "this is going to be definitely the summer blockbuster to watch out for next year."
