Updated: Talk about a mid-week surprise! Shortly after the first teaser poster for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was unveiled on Wednesday (Oct. 19), Marvel released the first teaser trailer — and it’s undeniably epic. Watch the action-packed sneak peek below!
The first look at The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is finally here – well, the first look at the teaser poster that is!
On Wednesday, Guardians of the Galaxy writer and director James Gunn revealed the first poster from the sequel and it’s pretty cool. The Marvel movie will be fierce and full of hardcore heroes based on the new image and we can’t wait to see it.
In the poster you see Chris Pratt’s character Peter Quill/Star-Lord holding onto his iconic leather jacket, surrounded by the rest of the tough-as-nails characters. Zoe Saldana’s Gamora is the only one staring at the camera and by the look on her face, she means business. The other characters featured on the poster are, Drax on Peter Quill’s right, and Yondu and Nebula on his left, as well as Rocket in front, obviously!
Seriously, everyone looks intense and ready to take on the world in the poster, which is a simple black-and-white image, with the words, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Obviously,” written over it. The only color is red and it really makes a punch.
Pratt re-grammed the poster on his Instagram account captioning it, “Oh Snap.” Oh snap indeed!
The 37-year-old actor also shared a few snaps from the last day of shooting the second film this summer, showing off his costume and introducing his fans to his stunt double Tony McFarr.
Pratt even “marked his territory” by posing next to a fire hydrant that had a Star-Lord design drawn it.
“That’s a wrap on #gotgvolume2 Went ahead and marked my territory at @pinewoodatlantastudios Any dog caught peeing on my hydrant will go to the pound. #grateful Thanks to @H2Ofowler77 and all the wonderful people in Atlanta/Fayateville for your hospitality. God bless you,” he captioned the funny photo in June.
