Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Making A Sci-Fi Series For YouTube, And It Sounds Epic

Dwayne Johnson has conquered both television and the big screen and now, the pro-wrestler-turned-super star is setting his sights on conquering YouTube.

Variety reports that YouTube has officially greenlit a new action series spearheaded by Johnson, which will be available exclusively on the subscription service, YouTube Red.

The Jumanji star is set to execute produce the new half-hour series, which currently has a working title of Lifeline. The synopsis for the show reveals that it’ll focus on an insurance company that propels its agents 33 days into the future with the intent of trying to stop its clients from suffering accidental deaths.

In a statement announcing the project, Johnson spoke about the unique opportunity teaming up with YouTube presents.

“We’re taking our YouTube partnership to the next level with Lifeline,” said Johnson as reported by Variety. “YouTube has given me the opportunity to connect with my fans on a very direct level, and now we’re teaming up with the most innovative creators in the game to bring our special brand of action adventure to the audience.”

We’re definitely looking forward to hearing more about Johnson’s new YouTube Red series as Lifeline moves further and further into production!
