Mark your calendars, pop culture fans! People’s Choice Awards 2017 will air live on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on CBS.
People’s Choice and CBS teamed up on Wednesday (Oct. 5) to announce the key dates for the 2017 telecast, including nominee voting.
The awards will be helmed by Mark Burnett, President of MGM Television and Digital, who is returning to executive produce the show for his eighth consecutive year. He will be joined by fellow executive producers Jane Mun, Kimmie H. Kim and Fred Nelson.
“It is an honor to be back again and work with a team that is one of the finest in the business,” said Burnett in a statement. “This show is so unique as the fans get to choose all the winners and it is up to them who comes to the stage.”
In other words, the pressure is on…you! Fans can start voting to determine the nominees beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 (10:00 AM, ET) at PeoplesChoice.com through Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 (11:59 PM, ET).
The final nominees will be announced during the Nominations Announcement Press Conference, which will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. After that, it’s up to fans again to choose the winners across movie, music, television and digital categories.
Between stellar musical performances by Jason Derulo and Shawn Mendes to unforgettable acceptance speeches, it’s safe to say People’s Choice Awards 2016 was full of memorable moments. We can’t wait to see which of our favorites stars in music, movies and more walk away with fan-voted trophies in 2017!
