If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to mix two Pixar films together, brace yourself, because Princess Anna and Dory have officially become BFFs.
On Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kristen Bell and Ellen DeGeneres brought their iconic animated characters to life and their first encounter was awesome. Bell might’ve been on the talk show to promote her new comedy, The Good Place, but DeGeneres couldn’t pass up an opportunity to have two Pixar favorites meet and chat with one another.
DeGeneres proposed that Princess Anna from Frozen and Dory from Finding Dory do a scene together and what happened next was brilliant. Bell was given an Anna cutout to put her face in as DeGeneres poked her head through a Dory cutout and then the banter began.
“Hi, Dory. I’m Princess Anna!” Bell said in her perfect, high-pitched Anna voice. “Hi, I’m Dory. Who are you?” DeGeneres responded, channeling Dory’s iconic short-term memory loss issue in the process. “I’m Princess Anna!” Bell said again.
The two went back and forth for a bit because as we all know, Dory doesn’t remember anything!
“Do you want to build a snowman?” Bell asked. “I’d love to build a snowman,” DeGeneres answered.
“Great, let’s do it!” Bell said. “I’m Dory, who are you?” DeGeneres added, never breaking character. These two are hilarious. Could you imagine an actual crossover Pixar film where Anna created a sandman instead of a snowman and helped Dory find whatever she’d recently lost, while singing and dancing? That is a movie we’d like to see!
