TV’s biggest night was definitely one to remember, especially for the cast of Game of Thrones.

The HBO drama capped off the Emmys on Sunday (Sept. 18) by taking home the crown for Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row. (Let’s face it, the world of Westeros is one that no one can really compete with.)

While the GOT win was exciting for fans of the Stark family and loyal followers of the Mother of Dragons, what the award marked was even more impressive. With the Outstanding Drama Series award in hand, GOT surpassed the record for the highest number of Emmy Awards won by any fictional series.

Game of Thrones picked up 12 awards (they were nominated for 24) last night, which earned them a total of 38 Emmys, which knocks out Frasier at the top spot with only 37. Isn’t that insane? Frasier, held that title for over 10 years!

If winning awards isn’t what you care about, GOT actor, Kit Harington stole the show when he took the stage alongside Andy Samberg to present an award. The duo made up hilarious lines in hopes of their soundbites being included in the highlight reel for next year and it was almost too much greatness to handle. Here’s to hoping someone (we’re looking at you Netflix) casts these two actors in a sitcom together stat!
