We’ve still got quite a wait before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits the big screen, but Chris Pratt is already singing the film’s praises.

In a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, the Magnificent Seven actor took moment to let fans in on the progress of the highly anticipated sequel to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

“It’s finished and it’s going to be terrific,” promised Pratt. “I’m already so proud of it. We worked really hard on it and it’s a joy to be a part of. It’s a fabulous script. I think it’s going to be— I’m not using hyperbole, here— I think it’s going to be the biggest spectacle movie of all time.”

It sounds like Pratt’s incredibly excited for audiences around the world to experience the amazing movie they’ve created. He’s also not the only cast member touting the film’s screenplay.

Earlier this month, Vin Diesel, who voices the fan favorite Groot, took to Facebook to film his live reaction to an brand-new scene from the sequel.

The clip ended up being an extended version of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 footage Marvel premiered at this past summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. While we weren’t treated to the extra footage, Diesel’s reaction speaks volumes.

“Guys, gimme a second here, gimme a second— wow,” said Diesel after watching the clip. “My friend [screenwriter James Gunn] is a genius. I’m blown away.”

Given Diesel’s reaction to the footage, and Pratt’s promise the the script is fabulous, we’re definitely expecting great things from the sequel!
