In 1998, the Disney Channel showed us what it truly means to be a soul skater with an original movie called Brink.

The DCOM introduced viewers to Andy “Brink” Brinker (Erik von Detten) and his crew of in-line skaters, Peter (Patrick Levis), Jordy (Asher Gold), and Gabriella (Christina Vidal), and basically made us all want to strap on a pair of roller blades and join Team Pup ’N Suds.

When we caught up with actress Christina Vidal at this year’s CBS/CW TCA Upfront Red Carpet, the star of CBS’ new pilot Training Day, reminisced on what it was like to make Brink almost a decade ago.

“It was just one of the most fun jobs ever to do,” Vidal told People’s Choice. “First of all, I learned how to rollerblade, I fractured my coccyx for the first time— very exciting.”

Above all, the actress revealed that she has fond memories of the set being very family oriented.

“We really felt comfortable with each other,” said Vidal of working on the classic DCOM. “I think that translated into the film.”

Up next, fans can catch Vidal starring in CBS’ upcoming Training Day reboot. Inspired by the Oscar-winning film of the same name, the series follows an LAPD officer tasked with spying on his partner.
