American Horror Story just upped the ante by releasing their creepiest teaser yet!
Uploaded to the official AHS Instagram account, the brand-new clip starts with an outstretched arm reaching out for help lying in a dark pool of blood. As the camera pans ahead, we see a woman in a dress trailing a bloody pitchfork behind her.
If the visuals aren’t enough to send tingles down your spine, we’re betting the sounds of the pitchfork spikes trailing slowly on the wooden floor will definitely be enough to give you the chills!
The teaser ends on a wooden backdrop carved up to remind us all to tune in to season six, which premiers over on FX in just a few weeks.
American Horror Story’s latest trailer may be sufficiently creepy, but there’s no way to know for sure if it gives us any clues as to what we can expect from the sixth season.
In a recent interview at this year’s TCAs, FX CEO John Landgraf revealed that this year, AHS showrunner Ryan Murphy and FX head of marketing, Stephanie Gibbons, decided to create a series of posters and teasers meant to throw off fans.
“They went out and made many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of American Horror Story,” explained Landgraf. “A lot of them are accurate. The others are all misdirects.”
We guess we’ll just have to tune in next month to find out what season 6 will actually entail!
American Horror Story season 6 premieres Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. on FX
