It looks like fans aren’t the only ones getting emotional over the fact that Pretty Little Liars is set to end after seven seasons.
Like her fellow co-stars Lucy Hale and Troian Bellisario, Mitchell revealed that the news has brought with it a mix of emotions, calling the inevitable end of PLL “bittersweet.”
Such a bittersweet day for the cast and crew of #PLL as we announce that Pretty Little Liars will end after this season. And while I will save my LONG drawn out speech about how nothing in my life will ever compare to what this show did for me, I will leave you with this (for now ;). A photo of me and the five women who helped shape my 20s. I am a better person for knowing them, learning from them, and loving them endlessly…I hope you enjoy our EPIC summer finale tomorrow and I cant wait for you all to see whats to come as we say goodbye to PLL… (insert ugly cry here) 😭… Thank you and I love you guys.

Mitchell also told fans that she’s hoping they enjoy this year’s big summer finale, before leaving things off with one final, emotional sentiment: “I can’t wait for you all to see what’s to come as we say goodbye to PLL… (insert ugly cry here)…thank you and I love you guys,” wrote Mitchell.
“Thank you for having us in your life. Thank you all for growing up with us. The season finale is out of control. And so is the rest of the season 7. Get ready, and film your finale reactions!” wrote Allen via Instagram.
While Allen chose to address the fans, King took a different approach, instead choosing to address the ladies that bring Emily, Hana, Aria, Spencer, and Alison to life each week.
“Love these ladies,” wrote King in the caption of an adorable selfie. “We’ll all go on to do great things. And we will always have each other and our PLL family.”
We’re totally ugly crying right alongside Shay Mitchell after reading all these beautiful messages the Pretty Little Lairs cast have been posting!
