Everyone’s favorite Dothraki chieftain, Khal Drogo, may have kicked the bucket back in season one, but could Daenerys’ one true love be returning to Game of Thrones?

That’s a question we won’t know the answer to until the series picks back up again next summer, but even so, Bustle has pointed out that signs may be pointing to yes— especially if actor Jason Momoa’s Instagram is anything to go by!

Momoa has been posting some very interesting photos as of late, which showcase the actor reuniting with former castmates and even showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. These photos are even more interesting when you consider the fact that Momoa’s reunion with his former cast took place in Northern Ireland, where Game of Thrones is filmed.

“With My brothers @captainriff dan and david. Love ya GOT greatest show on earth ALOHA DROGO,” wrote Momoa in the caption of his latest Instagram post, uploaded just three days ago.

Now that Jon Snow has been resurrected, we feel like anything’s possible when it comes to bringing back fan favorites that were gone too soon. Even so, if Momoa is in fact in Northern Ireland to film Game of Thrones, it’s also possible he’s there to film Khal Drogo flashback scenes or even vision scenes.

Despite his death in season 1, we saw Drogo return briefly in the season 2 finale when Daenerys arrives at the House of the Undying. While magically separated from Jorah and Kovarro, Daenerys finds herself in an empty room with many doors and when she opens one, it’s to reveal a tempting vision of herself back in Drogo’s tent. Drogo’s there too, with the son they never had.

Given the fact that Daenerys has quite the journey ahead of her as Game of Thrones inches toward its series finale, we wouldn’t be surprised if the writers had decided that it’s time for the Mother of Dragons to come face to face with her lost love once again in some form or another.

We’ll definitely be interested to see if Khal Drogo returns when Game of Thrones picks back up again!
