Backstreet’s back! The iconic boyband recently got back in the studio to start working on their ninth album where Nick Carter was joined by a very special guest.

The 36-year-old singer brought his 3-month-old son, Odin, to work with him over the weekend when he popped in to the studio lay down some vocals for a new track.

“Hanging with daddy for the first time at the studio while we record a song for the new @backstreetboys album,” wrote Carter via his Instagram.

The singer also shared an adorable photo where he was all smiles holding his son in front of a soundboard.

The Backstreet Boys seem to be on track to have another big year. Aside from working on their upcoming album, they’ve got a few more projects coming down the pipeline. One we’re definitely keeping our eye on is their proposed plan for a Las Vegas residency.

Rumors that BSB may be following the footsteps of Britney Spears began swirling in the beginning of 2016. Then, in April, Carter himself confirmed in an interview with ET that the band was in the midst of setting up a nine-show test run deal with Live Nation.

“If it does really well, then I think that’ll open that for and then in the future we’ll do it,” Carter said of the series of test shows set to start in January. “So that’s definitely going to happen but we’re going to do a trial run first.”

Between life at home and life in the studio, it definitely sounds like the Backstreet Boys are keeping quite busy these days!
