Welcome to paradise, Green Day fans! One of the most popular punk bands from the ’90s and ’00s are releasing a brand new single.

Vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong announced on Instagram recently that the band’s latest single, “Bang Bang” will drop on August 11. Best known for hits like “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “When I Come Around,” Good Riddance (Time of Your Life,” and “Basket Case,” Green Day has been teasing a new album — their first since 2012’s trilogy of EPs, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tre! — for months, but as of now no release date has been formally announced.

“dear friends! green day is putting out a new single called “BANG BANG” August 11,” Armstrong wrote on Instagram. “stay tuned for more details.. photo by Frank Maddocks #mynewband.”

In April of 2015, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Fall Out Boy. Aside from music, Armstrong has kept busy by taking on a number of acting roles. The singer appeared in the 2014 Leighton Meester film Like Sunday, Like Rain and had a leading role in this year’s dramedy Geezer, which costars Judy Greer, Selma Blair, Chris Messina, and Fred Armisen.
