“Re GMW: I know as much as you guys do. Filming tonight’s episode was very emotional for all of us, so thank you to all of you who came and stuck with us,” wrote Blanchard. “The family that we have created on our set is something I will truly never forget.”
Though Rowan’s post almost made it sound like she was saying farewell to the coming-of-age series, the actress clarified that wasn’t the case. When a fan asked if Girl Meets World was ending, Rowan replied, “idk!!! Idk. We finished filming season 3, haven’t heard anything yet.”
It looks as though there’s no telling whether or not the Disney Channel will be renewing Girl Meets World for a fourth season, but we’re crossing our fingers that they do.
Boy Meets World famously followed Riley’s parents and their friends all the way through college, so it would definitely be a nice full-circle moment if we at least got to follow Riley, Maya, Lucas and Farkle through their high school years!
