As if you thought Once Upon Time couldn’t get anymore magical, the ABC drama is about to dive into the world of Arabian Nights.
The network unveiled the first teaser for the show’s upcoming sixth season at Comic-Con over the weekend, and it confirmed that the next fairytale saga coming to Storybrooke is Aladdin.
The clip gives fans a glimpse of sorcerer Jafar flying high on a magic carpet and taunting Aladdin. Deniz Akdeniz (Graceland) will play Aladdin and Oded Fehr (Covert Affairs) is set to play Jafar. The show’s official Twitter account posted the Comic-Con preview and shared a photo of the two actors in character. Check them out below:
Meanwhile, EW reports that Galavant alum Karen David has been cast as Princess Jasmine.
“Well the cat’s out of the bag… I can finally say that another childhood dream has come true!” Duncan wrote on Twitter about the casting announcement. ”
Jafar and Aladdin will apparently be at odds (what else is new?) on the series, as Jafar says in the preview “That’s why you never, ever hear these words about a savior: ‘They live happily ever after.’”
Looks like Once fans are in for a whole new world come the show’s September premiere.
