If there’s one lesson teen psychic Raven proved time and time again on That’s So Raven, it’s that just because you can gaze into the future, doesn’t mean life will be a breeze. Luckily, Raven always had her trusty pals Eddie (Orlando Brown) and Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol) to fall back on when things backfired.
Thanks to that main trio and the slew of supporting characters that appeared on the series during its run from 2003-2007, That’s So Raven continues to be a fan favorite. Among the memorable characters that still stand out today is terrible singer, Francesca.
For those of you who need a bit of a refresher, Francesca comes into play during the season 3 episode, “On Top Of Old Oaky,” when Cory decides he wants to start a band and kicks things off by holding open auditions. In the end, Cory ends up selecting Francesca to be in the band because he likes her, even though she has a terrible singing voice.
It’s been over a decade since “On Top Of Old Oaky” aired for the first time, and Ashley Rose, who portrayed the memorable character, is still acting. For those of you wondering, she’s also not as terrible of a singer as Francesca was. In fact, Rose originally got her start on Broadway through productions of The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, and Annie Get Your Gun.
After That’s So Raven, Rose was lucky enough to nab a slew of guest starring roles on television shows such as Dexter, Monk, and Nickelodeon’s Unfabulous.
Rose’s most recent projects include the made for TV movie, Up In Smoke, and a short called Halfway to Nowhere, both released in 2015.
